Abstract: The photochemical reaction of sulfur dioxide and alkanes was studied. A series of products such as alkenes, alcohols, ketones and esters were identified by GC/MS. According to the characters of the compounds and the free radical theory, the free radical mechanism of the photochemical reaction was suggested.
