Abstract: In this paper, the preparation of methyl dodecylsulfonate and its mass spectrum are presented. Tetramethylammonium dodecylsulfonate is prepared by the reaction of sodium dodecylsulfonate with tetramethylammonium chloride and decomposed into the title compound.
