Rapid Detection of 114 Pesticide Residues in Eight Vegetables by UPLC-MS/MS

  • 114 kinds of pesticide residues in five categories of eight vegetables, including leafy vegetables (rape, celery), cabbage vegetables (cabbage), root vegetables (stem lettuce, carrots), solanaceous vegetables (peppers, tomatoes), legumes (cowpeas) were determined using a improved QuEChERS and UPLC-MS/MS. The samples were extracted by acetonitrile, cleaned up by C18, NH2, GCB mixed powder, and analyzed by the positive ion multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. The results show that the detection limits of 114 kinds pesticides are under 8.0 μg/kg, which have good linearity in their concentrations. The correlation coefficients are greater than 0.99. The average recoveries of eight vegetables are between 76.5% and 96.5%, and the relative standard deviations (RSDs) are between 7.1% and 11.6%. The method is simple, rapid, accurate, sensitive, saving organic solvents, which can meet the demands of practical used for multi-residue pesticides.
