Abstract
Carphedone(2-Oxo-4-phenylpyrrolidine acetamide) as a new stimulant has been banned by International Olympic Committee(IOC) since 1997. After administration of single dose of the drug, the 50mg of urine samples were extracted by use of XAD packed minicolumn and eluted with methanol. The concentrate solution was collected, buffered, enzymed, centrifuged and derivated with N-methyl-N-trimethylsilyl trifluoroacetamide(MSTFA) under the condition of procedure for anabolic agents as the routine method in the lab. Carphedone itself was detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC/MS). The results showed the metabolization products within 50 hours and dehydrated products of the molecule are found and recognized to be formed during derivatization.
