Study on Volatile Constituents of the Flowers From Aloe Vera. by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

  • Direct distillation extraction method (DDE)) and simultaneity distillation extraction method (SDE) were used for extracting the volatile substances of the flowers from Aloe Vera.. The average oil yields obtained by DDE and SDE, were 0.85% and 2.81%, respectively. The nineteen and eleven species of chemical components of the volatile substances from Aloe Vera were identified by gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The contents of the identified compounds make up 99.14% and 96.70% of total volatile substances extracted from Aloe Vera with DDE and SDE, respectively.
