Study on Mass Spectrometry of Characteristic Metabolites of Androstenedione

As a testosterone related substance, androstenedione has always been a prohibited substance. Its availability for oral self-administration prompted the IOC and the International Sport Federations to list androstenedione by name of an anabolic agent in 1998. A GC/MS procedure described in this paper was applied to study the characteristic metabolites of androstenedione in human urine.
