Determination of Molecular Weight of Sodium Poly(acrylic acid) by MALDI/TOF Mass Spectrometry
The sodium salt of poly(acrylic acid) has to be converted to poly(acrylic acid) with ion-exchange resin to get clear MALDI/TOF mass spectrum. The average molecular weight, polydispersity and end-group can be determined based on the spectrum.
