Fast Atom Bombardment And Electron Impact Ionization Mass Spectrometry of Some Derivatives of Bis piperazinium Decane Salts

  • Three derivatives of 1,10-bis-(N-piperazinium) decane salts (M 2+ ·2Br -·2HCl) carrying substituted N-benzyl groups were studied by FAB mass spectrometry (FABMS) with very satisfactory results.M+X +,M-H +,M-R+H + were present in the FAB mass spectra.The formation of M-H + ions could be explained as R + rearrangement.We also reported the main fragmention routes of these compounds by EI mass spectrometry (EIMS).The characteristic peaks,which were observed at m/z99,m/z113,m/z281,m/z311 etc.were formed similarly to Hoffmann elimination.
