Abstract
The paper described and some experiments we have done on delayed ion extraction in laser desorption/ionization take-of-flight mass spectrometry Which led to much higher mass resolution compared the previous continuous mode. By computer modeling and carefully choosing The parameters such- as delayed time and voltage ratio (extracting volt/repelling volt),we have got mass resolution up to 1734(reflect mode) with gramicidine (a-c yano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid as matrix); 2124 with insulin(4HCCA as matrix) and 960 with Corn (2-nitrophyenyl octyl octyl ether as matrix) on our modified lab-built instrument.
