Analysis of Volatile Oil from Viola Tianshanica Maxim by GC/MS

  • The chemical components of volatile oils from Viola tianshanica Maxim were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The content of the volatile oils which were extracted by steam distillation from Viola tianshanica Maxim was 0.067%. 47 components are identified from 60 separated peaks, amounting to total mass fraction 75.54% . The relative contents of the components were determined with peak area normalization method. The major constituents of the volatile oils are aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketone, aldehyde and esters.
