Analysis of Volatile Oil from Viola Tianshanica Maxim by GC/MS

The chemical components of volatile oils from Viola tianshanica Maxim were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS)． The content of the volatile oils which were extracted by steam distillation from Viola tianshanica Maxim was 0.067％. 47 components are identified from 60 separated peaks, amounting to total mass fraction 75.54% . The relative contents of the components were determined with peak area normalization method. The major constituents of the volatile oils are aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketone, aldehyde and esters.
