Mass Spectra of Natural Products IV. Struetural Analysis of Glycosides of Paris Luquanesis H.Li and Paris Axialis H.Li by FABMIKES Mass Spectrometry

In this paper the sequences of sugar groups in the following glycosideshave been determined by FAB-MIKES mass spectrometry: Glycoside I Pen-nogenin 3-0-α-L-arabinofuranosyl (1→4)-α-L-rhamnosyl(1→2)-β-D-gluco-pyranoside; Glycoside Ⅱ Pennogenin 3-0-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1→4 )-α-L-rham-nosyl (1→4)-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside; Glycoside ⅢPennogenin-3-0-β-D-glucopyrannosyl (1→3) (α-L-rhamuopyranosyl (1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside. FAB spectrum can give the molecular weight of the sample and the MI-KES mass spectrum can give the information of sequence of the sugar groups.
