Mechanism of the Plasma Polymerization of Ethylene and Propene

Abstract
This paper reports the analysis and identification of gaseous condensatesfrom plasma polymerization of ethylene and propene by means of GC, GC-MSand ESR. The GC-MS results of the condensates on OV-17, OV-101 and FF-AP capillary columns have indicated that the condensates consisted of morethan 60 compounds and 40 compounds respectively. ESR results show that alot of radical exist in the condensates. According to the GC-MS and ESR datathe reaction mechanism was deduced for plasma polymerization of ethyleneand propene.
