The Calculation of the Field Distributions of Rectangular Quadrupole System
The field distributions of the rectangular quadrupole system have been calculated. Some higher order fields are produced besides the quadrupole field with four rectangular electrodes. The field distributions are strongly dependence on the geometrical shape of the the rectangular quadrupole system. Some type of mass analyzer is possible if the shape is right.
