Identification of Adulterations in Natural Cassia Oil

A method is reported for identifying the synthetic adulterations in natural cassia oil using GC/MS. The presence of adulterations is detected by monitoring the MS specific ion and the GC retention data of the by-product PPDA in the spothetic compounds. The mthod is simple and trustworthy.
