Supercritical CO2 Extraction and Mass Spectrometry Analysis of the Volatile Oil Components from Roses

  • The extraction and analysis of the volatile oil components from Lengxiang rose and Sijihong rose (produced in Hunchun of Jilin Province) using supercritical carbon dioxide and GC/MS was investigated. The optimum condition of the Orthogonal extraction is extraction pressure at 20 MPa, separation pressure at 7 MPa, extraction temperature at 35 ℃, separation temperature at 40 ℃. The volatile oil components were analyzed by GC/MS, and the GC data shows that there are 76 and 78 kinds of volatile oil components in Lengxiang rose and Sijihong rose respectively. Compared with the known compounds in standard database, respectively, there are 32 and 19 kinds of volatile oil components whose similarity is over 65%. The supercritical CO2 extraction experimental results demonstrate that this method is easy, rapid and efficiency. The difference of aromas for these two roses may be attributed to the difference of volatile oil components.
