Determination of Trace Lead by Isotope Dilution Mass Spectrometry(IDMS)

In this paper the importance of determination of trace lead is describedbriefly. With some examples, a review of IDMS used at home and abroad fordetermination of trace lead is presented. In addition, four useful parameterssuch as the determination target, the spike to be used, the sensitivity anderror are given. The purification of agents and the processing of samples aswell as the separation and concentration of lead are discussed in detail. Theoptimum conditions of mass spectrometry determination is reviewed.
