Analysis of Volatile Constituents from Commiphora myrrha Engl. of Xinjiang by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

  • The essential oil in the Commiphora myrrha Engl. was extracted by steam distillation method, and the chemical constituents of the volatile from the herb were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Forty-two compounds were identified, which accounted for over 87.46 % of the volatile oil. The major components were α-bergamotene(12.52 %), β-selinene (8.75%), β-bisabolene (10.03%), 2-hydroxy-2,4,6-cycloheptatrien-1-one(6.25%), and so on.
