Abstract
The purge-and-trap extraction method coupled to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) detection, was applied to the determination of volatile compounds in-Indocalamus bashanensis-leaves. Fifty-three components are identified. There are ketone (8 kinds), aldehyde (14 kinds) and alcohol (18 kinds), and the others are olefins, esters and heterocycles. The identified compounds which peak areas of total ion current (TIC) above 4% are ethyl alcohol (4.78%), 1-penten-3-ol (4.90%), 2-ethyl-furan (9.23%), n-hexanal (9.07%), 4-hexen-1-ol (28.44%), 1-hexanol (4.36%), 2-hexen-1-ol (5.62%) and 2-hexenal (18.28%).
