Mass Spectrometry Leak Detection Technology of Iodine Target in Artificial Transmutation Experiment

  • The leak detection technology of transmutation iodine target was studied. Transmutation iodine target must be sealed in order to prevent radioactive isotopes and transmutation gas products from going out. Vacuum sealed and normal sealed targets were investigated and relevant leak detection tactics were brought out. The leak rates of six vacuum sealed targets which were used in first transmutation experiment were detected. The results indicated that only three targets accorded with the experiment demand.
