Analysis of Paints by Pyrolysis-Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometry (PGC/MS)

Finnigan Mat 1020GC/MS instrument combined wlth model CDS-190pyrolystmetry was adopted to develop the method for determining 17 kinds of differentpaints which were made in China. Determination of characteristic pyrolysis products wasapplied to identification of paints. The amount of the sample used was about 2μg. Themethod has been successfully used in criminal cases.
