Analysis of Volatile Oils of Thymus Proximus Serg. from Xinjiang by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

  • The volatile oil was extracted from Thymus Proximus Serg. by water distillation method. The content of volatile oil is 0.16%.The chemical components of volatile oil were separated and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). 69 compounds are identified from 73 constituents. The relative content of components were determined with peak area normalization method. The major constituents of volatile oil are thymol (27.99%), p-cymene(25.42%), γ-terpinene (17.95%), β-bisabolene(3.87%), carvacrol (2.5%), 4-carene(2.39%), pulegone(1.99%), endo-borneol(1.68%), β-myrcene(1.35%), caryophyllene (1.09%) and α-thujene(1.01%)。
