Electron Ionization and Orthogonal Acceleration Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer

  • The principle, configuration and preliminary experiment results of a home made electron ionization(EI) source coupling with a home made orthogonal acceleration time-of-flight mass spectrometer (Oa-TOF MS) were introduced. The mass spectrum air components are acquired using the home made EI-TOF MS. The mass resolution as high as 2000(FWHM) and the mass precision better than 4×10-5 are achieved. This spectrometer can be used in the application of fast qualitative analysis of gas phase component.
