Rapid Determination of Ethyl Carbamate in Alcoholic Beverages with GC/MS Coupling with Supported Liquid-Liquid Extraction

  • A method for simple and rapid determination of ethyl carbamate in alcoholic beverages was developed by GC/MS coupling with modified supported liquid-liquid extraction. Dehydrated with sodium chloride-anhydrated sodium sulfate, then static extraction was done with the support of diatomaceous earth and extraction solvent of ether,after changing solvent with methanol. Cleaning up was performed with dispersed PSA, quantification was done with isotope internal standard dilution method. LOD is 10 ng g-1. Range of yield and RSD in two spiked samples are 88%-109.9%, 4.9%-13.4%, respectively. The method is easy, rugged and provided technical base for monitoring batch of EC sample .
