Detection of Eight Sedative-Hypnotic Agents in Nutriment Products by GC/MS

Total of 8 sedative-hypnotic agents (diazepam, midazolam, nitrazepam, zolpidem, clonazepam, estazolam, alprazolam and zopiclone) were simultaneously detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry coupling with electronic ionization. The sample was extracted with the methyl tert-butyl ether and completely separated by HP1MS column (17 m ×0.2 mm×0.11 mm) in linear temperature program, methyltestosterone as internal standard. The method is simple, rapid and reliable. It is suitable for routine analysis in nutriment products.
