Abstract
Aspirin was investigated with infrared laser desorption/vacuum ultraviolet photoionization and photodissociation mass spectrometry(IR LD/VUV PIMS) technique. Due to the tunability of VUV photon energy, the mass spectra of aspirin at different photon energies were measured. Combining theoretical calculation, the proposed dissociation pathways of precursor cations were well depicted.
