Abstract
To analyze the chemical constituents of the volatile oils of Coleus amboinicus Lour., the components were separated and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and matched with NIST library, the relative contents in percentage were calculated by peak area normalization method. The result showed more than 34 compounds were separated and 25 compounds were identified, accounting for 98.62% of the total content of the volatile oils of Coleus amboinicus Lour.. The main constituents are phenol, 2-methyl-5-(1-methylethyl) (57.82%), β-caryophyllen (15.24%), γ-terpinen (10.01%), α-bergamotene(8.69%), m-cymene(5.65%), α-caryophyllen(2.32%), caryophyllene oxide(1.13%)and their isomers. These compounds are profitable to research the effectiveness of Coleus amboinicus Lour..
