Determination of Composition in X Capsule by Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry

The gas chromatography mass spectrometric technology was applied to analyze the content composition of a healthful X capsule. The contents were ground into powder, extracted by ethyl ether. Then the residue from the extractate was evaporated to dryness, and dissolved in THF to use for gas chromatography mass spectrometric analysis. The experimental results indicated that the component of the capsule was confirmed as methyltestosterone (MT) through comparison with the spectrum obtained from standard MT.
