Abstract: The metabolism of hydroxyethyl starch in human urine was analyzed by gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GC/MS). 2 hydroxyethyl glucose,3 hydroxyethyl glucose and 6 hydroxyethyl glucose derivatives were identified using the retention times and characteristic ions of three metabolites. This detection method was established in national institute of sports medicine.
