Abstract: The review with 45 references is focused on characteristics of Fourier transform /ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer(FT/ICRMS) and applications of FT/ICRMS in protein identification. Applications in analysis of primary structures of proteins, post-translational modifications and proteomes are discussed and reviewed in detail.
