Introduction to the Naissance of SHRIMP and its Contribution to Isotope Geology

  • 摘要: 本文对SHRIMP的产生基础进行了分析,对SHRIMP产生过程及设计思想、技术特征进行了介绍,阐述了SHRIMP在同位素地质学、尤其是锆石同位素地质年代学的应用和贡献。

     

    Abstract: The authors explain why the SHRIMP, as an in-situ microanalysis machine, was invented by scientists more than twenty years ago. It is introduced that what thought was come into being in designing for the first SHRIMP, that the hardship course the inventors had experienced for making the machine, and that the properties SHRIMP possesses. The contributions of SHRIMP to Earth Sciences, especially to zircon isotope geochronology, are also shown.
