Abstract:
The volatile constitutes of
Seriphidium santolinum and
Artemisia frigida were extracted by hydro-distillation. The chemical components of volatile oil were separated and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Total of 36 and 54 components were identified from 48 and 60 constituents in the
Seriphidium santolinum and
Artemisia frigida, respectively. The relative contents of components were determined with the peak area normalization method. The major volatile oil constituents in the
Seriphidium santolinum are alcohol compounds (24.71%), ketones compounds (12.69%) and aromatic compound (8.52%). The major volatile oil constituents in the
Artemisia frigida are aromatic compound (39.04%), alcohol compounds (10.78%) and ketones compounds (6.91%).
