Abstract: High performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) is applied to separating aliphatic ethoxylate alcohols (AEO) by carbon numbers and EO units.Coupled with on-line electrospray mass spectrometry,chromatographic peaks are assigned according to their mass spectra.The reason for distortion of the pseudo-molecule-ion intensity is also explained.
