On-target Protein Digestion of Proteins for Fast Mass Spectrometric-Peptides Mapping and Identification

Abstract: On-target tryptic digestion combined with MALDI-TOF/TOF was studied as a rapid and simple method for the analysis and identification of proteins. Conditions for on-target digestion optimized for temperature, diestion time, and proportion of protein and trypsin. A 15 min reaction time and at 50 ℃ and 7 100∶1 of protein vs. trypsin was finally used.
