Abstract: A new GC detector--quadrupole ion trap detector(ITD) is described. TheITD has performance characteristies as follows: high sensitivity, wide dynamicrange, good response to all organic compounds classes, to obtain mass spec-trum data, minature size, cheap, and easy, simplicity, reliable operationaladvantages.
