Analysis of Headspace Volatiles Emitted from Fresh Fowers of lilium. spp by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry with Solid-phase Microextraction

  • Abstract: The headspace constituents released from fresh flowers of lilium. spp were sampled by solidphase microextraction(SPME). The chemical constituents were separated and identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Linalol(59.64%), trans-ocimene(30.35%), benzene, 1,4-dimethoxy(2.03%), benzoic acid, methyl ester(1.69%), phenol, 2-methoxy-4-(1-propenyl), (E)-(1.69%),β-pinene(1.56%) were the most abundant volatiles released from fresh flowers of lilium. spp and a total of 23 volatile compounds were identified in this study. The results demonstrated that headspace SPME-GC/MS is a simple, rapid and solvent free method suitable for analysis of volatile compounds emitted from fresh flowers of lilium. spp.
