Abstract: The chemical constituents of essential oil from Elaeagnus angustifolia L, flowers were analysed by GC/MS.45 kinds of compound in the oil have been identified. The major perfumery substancese were ethyl trans-cinnamate, methyl cinnamate, benzenmethanol. The cleavage mechanism of the mass spectra of ethyl palmitate have also been intcrpreted by the methods of EI and CI.
