Abstract: Significant advances in the application of mass spectrometry to biomedi-cal research have been made at dramatic pace over the past ten years. Inthe present paper some important developments in this field and the novelapplications of mass spectrometry to studyiug phyrmacology and toxicology,biochemistry, clinical chemistry, as well as research for volatile constituentsof human metabolites, have been reviewed in brief.
