The human piretanide positive urine sample extractedwith ethyl acetate at PH 5. The dry residue of extract was methylated or silylanized andthen the derivatives were determined. The method suggested was practical and reliable.The excretion profile of piretanide was investigated by HPLC.Keywords: piretanide, GC/MSD, determination.
